CounterHand answers a takeaway shop's phone, takes the order against that shop's live menu, and sends it straight to the kitchen screen. No missed calls, no engaged tone, no order scrawled on a pad mid-rush.

How it works

The shop forwards its existing number to CounterHand. Nothing is ported, and switching it off takes a minute.
Calls are answered, orders are taken against the shop's own menu, and tickets appear on a tablet in the kitchen.
Anything that needs a person — a complaint, an allergy question, a caller who wants one — goes straight through to the shop.
If anything at all is down, calls forward to the shop exactly as they do today. A shop is never worse off than before.

About our text messages

When a customer orders by phone, we text them a link showing exactly what the kitchen was told, so they can check it before they arrive.

We do not read replies to our messages. Everything about an order — including how to change it — is on the link we send, and every message gives the shop's own phone number. Each link also carries a one-tap control to stop future messages for good.

We send order messages only. We do not send marketing texts, and we never chase a customer who has not replied.
